For the past few years homeowners have shown a great interest in purchasing high efficiency heating and air conditioning products. Most were interested in conserving energy and thus reducing their utility bills as well as doing something positive for the environment. Unfortunately, purchasing and installing high efficiency products was cost prohibitive.
Today purchasing high efficiency equipment is COST EFFECTIVE, good for the environment, your utility bill and your bank account!
Tax Credits
Homeowners can now claims tax credits equal to 30% of the installed costs up to $1500.00. These tax credits are retroactive to January 1, 2009 and expire on December 31, 2010. If a taxpayer owes $2000 in taxes, their liability is reduced to $500. If they owe nothing, they can expect a $1500 refund!
Manufacturers Rebates
On top of the tax credits, manufacturers rebates on qualifying equipment have never been greater. Many manufacturers are offering up to $1500.00 rebates on high efficiency equipment. These rebates are normally received four – six weeks after the installation.
Utility Rebates
As part of the New Jersey Clean Energy Program, homeowners are also eligible for up to $550 in rebates. The homeowner usually receives these rebates within 2 months of the installation.
